There are many opportunities for volunteering with Hands Together LUDLOW. We need assistance with running some of our projects and establishing new ones, running a range of Lunch Clubs, and volunteering to help those in need of short-term care.
Referrals come to us from our partner agencies, charities and local organisations, as well as direct contact from individuals. We aim to find the most appropriate organisation to help, or we use one of our team of volunteers. Registering with Hands Together LUDLOW will either provide opportunities to volunteer or give valuable support for those already active in the community.
Volunteers provide short-term assistance with things like occasional transport, befriending, shopping, IT support, cooking, de-cluttering, gardening, etc. We will use volunteers with the appropriate skills, and will endeavour to provide training if required.
All our volunteers are expected to participate in core health & safety training. They must also provide evidence of an up to date DBS safeguarding check or complete the process with us.
If you are already volunteering in the community by providing help to those in need around you (neighbours or church members perhaps) it would be of benefit to register with Hands Together LUDLOW.
We encourage you to register with us to ensure that you can have support, especially if things go wrong, you become overloaded, or something happens that you don't have the skills to deal with. All volunteers benefit from safeguarding checks and are covered by a comprehensive insurance policy.
