COMMUNITY LUNCHES
We aim to bring people together socially over food whilst also helping the environment by using high quality but surplus food that would otherwise go to landfill.
The LUNCH CLUB provides meals using donated and surplus food. We meet almost every Tuesday at Helena Land Day Centre on Hamlet Road (behind the Catholic Church).
The 2 course lunch costs £3.50 per person and is aimed at older or vulnerable people so they can come together to share an inexpensive, healthy meal in a friendly environment.
We start at 12:30. If you want to book a place, call the helpline : 01584 817 250
Afternoon Tea is on a Wednesday from 2pm and, like lunch club, is for anyone who is isolated and wants to come and join a friendly group for tea, cake and chat. Ring the helpline for more infomation.
In some instances we can help with transport to these events for those who have no other way of getting there. This should be a last resort so try booking a taxi or getting a lift first, if at all possible. Keep an eye out for news about the community bus...

We have some vacancies on our kitchen rota.
