Building upon its success in supporting the community throughout the Covid pandemic Hands Together Ludlow has now obtained temporary premises for a 12 month period and is now actively encouraging enrolment as well as seeking more volunteers to assist with running the project.

Men Sheds host similar activities to garden sheds – including woodwork, DIY and general making – but used by groups of men together as part of social activity. It’s a fact that men generally find it more difficult to build social connections than women and sometimes find it difficult to discuss personal or health issues so the Men’s Shed offers DIY opportunities as well as time and space for social interaction.

Ludlow Men’s Shed is open for enrolment on Mondays and Wednesday 10 am - 3pm from 5th May and will engage in practical activities from 17th May at similar times. Because of restricted space the number pf participants will need to be limited at first but increasing numbers can become involved as more volunteers allow greater opening times.

If you are interested in volunteering for this project please contact us or download an application form from  https://www.handstogetherludlow.org.uk/volunteers/apply).

The project is also in need of donations of hand tools and powered tools (preferably battery powered) -  we are happy to receive  hand tools that need repair.

Ludlow Men’s Shed is at 4 Lower Galdeford (next door to J Bishop Carpets) - for further information contact us on  07584 858056  or This email address is being protected from spambots.  Our vision is for a happy, hospitable, compassionate and just community which helps people help themselves, and our mission is to provide a more effective community process for achieving this vision. We do this by creating a network of volunteers which works with agencies, charitable organisations, local businesses and churches, to identify and provide relief to people in need and find community building solutions in Ludlow and the surrounding villages in South Shropshire.

We are funded by the community and many other groups, including:
